David Basulto - Producer, Director, Editor, Writer
David began his career in Hollywood as an actor appearing opposite such stars as Steven Seagal, Jon Voight,Edward Norton as well as numerous others. Prior to entering the entertainment world, David worked on Wall Street with one of the top brokerage houses. Prior to forming Clarity Pictures, he was founder of Basulto Entertainment Group. Within weeks of its formation B/E arranged financing for the feature motion picture, "18 Shades of Dust" , starring Danny Aiello and William Forsythe . David produced the feature film " Love and Action In Chicago" which stars Courtney B. Vance ("Hunt for Red October", "Last Supper", "The Preachers Wife"), Jason Alexander ("Seinfeld"), Kathleen Turner ("War of the Roses"), Regina King ("Jerry Maguire") and Edward Asner ("Lou Grant"). "Love and Action in Chicago" was an official selection to the 1999 Toronto Film Festival. David next produced the feature film "Wish You Were Dead" and stars Cary Elwes (Princess Bride", "Glory", "Twister", The Cradle Will Rock"), Mary Steenburgen ("Melvin and Howard", Noah's Arc") Christopher Lloyd ("Taxi", "Back to the Future"), Elaine Hendrix ("Parentrap", "Superstar"), Gene Simmons (KISS), Lynn Shaye ("Something About Mary"), Robert England ("Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise), Sally Kirkland ("Ed TV), and Billy Ray Cyrus . The film was produced in association with Mel Gibson's Icon Productions .
David's project "Perfect Romance" , written by Allison Burnett ( "Autumn in New York"), that was done with Lifetime Television aired June 9th. 2004. "Perfect Romance" was directed by Douglass Barr and starred Kathleen Quinlin . David produced with the Emmy winning producing team Alexander/Enright
David's Clarity Pictures landed a domestic distribution deal for "The Clique" , it's privately financed horror film with Maverick Entertainment. The film, renamed “Death Clique”, hit the streets July 11, 2006. "The Clique" was David's directorial debut. Thie film is in Blockbuster's nationwide.
David's first documentary "Hiding in Plain Sight: Tales of an American Predator" , directed by wife Loren Basulto, was an official selection to the California Independent Film Festival. To buy a copy visit the website!
David's second directing effort, "Fiesta Grand", is currently in the last stages of post production. Once done the film, an updated take on Tom Hank's Bachelor Party, will hit the festival route!
David is the owner and host of the highly popular Filmmaking Central Podcast. On the show he discusses the process of filmmaking from development to delivery. He also reviews products and interviews various industry guests.
David currently is developing several projects ranging from studio level to very low budget. He is deep into his feature documentary, “4Everquest”, about massive online gaming, and working on his editing skills and new found passion special effects. His wife has to drag him from the computer.

LOREN BASULTO Director/Writer/Producer
Loren has been working in the film industry for the past 12 years wearing many different hats. After studying Film at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, she went to work at Boeu Bonnue Casting. There she worked on such films as "9 months", "The Rock"," Inventing the Abbots", and "Gattaca".
Loren then moved to Los Angeles in 1996 and began to working on commercials and the soon to be released feature "Havoc" as the Art Director. "Havoc" was directed by Academy Award Documentarian Barbara Kopple, and written by "Traffic" scribe Stephen Gaghan.
Growing restless and realizing she needed to pursue her true passion, directing, she has just finished her first movie "Hiding in Plain Sight: Tales of an American Predator". "Hiding in Plain Sight" Tales of an American Predator" is a feature documentary about a pedophile who infiltrated her family and the effects it caused them and other families across the world.
